Michael (“Mike”) Townsend serves as Meadow’s Co-Founder, guiding operations, partnerships, and storytelling across the company’s programs and media. A systems-minded builder, Mike focuses on designing seamless client journeys and creating educational content via Meadow’s weekly podcast.

Prior to Meadow, Mike built a career turning complex, regulated problems into trustworthy, human-centered products. He started as a design engineer first at Brookstone (Singapore) and then on radar systems for UAVs in Los Angeles. He then co-founded and scaled startups including ZingCheckout (acquired by BigCommerce), HomeHero (raised $23M to become one of the largest U.S. home-care marketplaces; exited 2018), Redeeem (acquired 2021), and Otter Labs. As host of Around The Coin podcast, he interviewed 400+ founders, bringing a broad lens on safety, operations, and customer experience with coverage that earned mentions in Fortune, Forbes, CNBC, and more. Mike now applies that systems-and-service toolkit to Meadow’s mission: safe psychedelic care.

Mike lives in Portland, OR with his wife Dr. Tracy Townsend and their two children.
