Laurent Picard
Laurent is a licensed psilocybin facilitator, Portland-based firefighter, and paramedic who has dedicated nearly 30 years to serving his community. For the past two decades, he has also been a member of his department’s peer support team, offering guidance and care to colleagues navigating personal and professional challenges.
Laurent’s own healing journey with psilocybin has been life-changing. After years of managing the emotional weight of emergency service work, psilocybin helped him access a level of peace, healing, and joy that once felt unimaginable. This experience deepened his calling to support others in finding their own pathways to restoration and wholeness.
Laurent is also a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), bringing both heart and skill to his work. He draws on somatic techniques to help clients prepare for their sessions and to gently integrate insights afterward—bridging mind, body, and nervous system in the process.
Laurent’s background combines academic rigor and decades of real-world service. He holds a B.A. from Cornell University, completed his paramedic certification at the State University of New York, and earned his Psilocybin Facilitator Certification through InnerTrek. His training as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International further informs his grounded, body-based approach to healing and integration.
